My little brother has been a complete nuisance the past two years about getting a blanket made for him. Little does he know that because he is the last child of all five of us, he has to wait his turn. I can only do so much. I finally have the time to make him a blanket (which he knows because I am not working right now) and he has bugging me and nagging me up a wall. I keep telling him that I have to buy the yarn, and he is always eager to go and buy yarn. However, what he doesn't realize is that I have already started to work on the blanket for him. I want to get it done for him over the summer that way he can have it on his tenth birthday (HOLY COW! DOUBLE DIGITS! I remember him when he came home from the hospital and I had to change his diapers...great black mail photos too).
Anywho, I have been working on this blanket and it is very unique because it has to deal with triangles. I have made these many triangles out of three different types of bright caron yarn. They all look amazing. I am really excited to get these triangles done so I can start stitching the whole blanket together, but I can only do so much while the little brother is at school. I have to constantly hide all my projects on him because he is convinced that I should work on his blanket next. What a cute kid...Oh well, he is going to have to wait.
Any way here is a sneak peak of the triangles that I am working on. I am going to stitch them together with black that way the bright colors really stick out.
Let me know what you think! :)
