Bahama Mamma Blanket.

I absolutely fell in love with this blanket. I found this original pattern on Ravelry called Sunny Spread or something like that. Instead of doing one color though, I wanted a ton of colors instead. I chose tropical colors and brown. I wanted the colors to pop. The tropical colors that I used were from Caron Yarn. The colors were the berry blue, limelight green, sunshine yellow, watermelon pink, and tangerine or mango (I forgot the color because I ran out), and then brown. I did five circles of each tropical color and then bordered them with the brown. Once that was done, I put them in different patterns so the colors weren't all lined up all the same. Once they were sewn together, I lined the outside of the blanket with the colors. I call this the bahama mamma blanket and I made it for one of my best friends.

This a picture of what the separate blocks look like with the color surrounded by the brown.

Sewn together with the border and folded. It is such a nice warm and cozy blanket. If you need a pattern, go to Ravelry. It has a ton of options.

Thank you!!!

Savannah's Blanket

Hello everyone,

So here is my blanket that I made for my little girl. I made it on the bigger side so that she could grow into it. I've been experimenting with the ripple pattern and using many different colors. I finally found the colors that I wanted when I found some Satin Bernat Yarn for clearance at Joanne's Fabric. They are definitely pastel colors but it's so sticking cute. Savannah loves curling up with it too, especially at night. It is her go to blankie.

The pattern was really easy for me once I go into a grove.

It is like a cotton candy blue with a light purple. I had more of the blue so the blue had six rows instead of four like the purple.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me and I can write up the pattern for you.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that you have a Happy New Year.

A blanket for husband.

Good Morning Everyone! One more day closer to the Thanksgiving and the beginning of Hanukah. I hope your are getting ready for a fabulous filled day with family and friends.

So...

Today's pattern is based on something for my husband. Now mind you I have been trying to figure out what kind of blanket to make for him. Then this lovely app named Pintrest came along and I have been able to find all sorts of awesome patterns to do, even one for my husband. With this blanket, I was able to use a lot of yarn that has been stored up in my craft room. Needless to say, I haven't bought any since I was out of work in May, so my storage has kind of dwindled. But I was ecstatic when I saw that I had enough black, white, gray and red to do this blanket.

This is the picture that I based the pattern off of...

Now here is the rendition that I drew up for this blanket. I wanted to make it a little bigger then what was shown in the picture. So I added another bigger center block and two smaller blocks to add length to it. I also re-arranged the colors of the outside block because I didn't want so much white.

And then here is a picture of the some what almost finished blanket. I finally got it done in time for him to curl up with it for Christmas. It is a really heavy blanket but I can tell he likes it because he was nice and warm and asleep in five mins. Haha

If you would like that pattern, feel free to message me and I can type it up for you. I pretty much made it myself and added the edging of it after.

Have a great day!
